“Meet Me at the Movies” is a monthly classic movie event in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. Movie screenings are generally the last Friday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Sherwood Community Music School, Columbia College recital hall, 1312 S. Michigan Ave.
What qualifies as a classic film or movie is somewhat subjective. There are certain films which endure because they strike an emotional chord long after their initial release. For example, a movie like Casablanca (1942) would qualify as a classic under that definition.
Each classic movie is introduced by amateur film historian Stephen (Steve) Reginald. Reginald is a freelance writer- editor and has taught adult education classes at Facets Film School in Chicago.
Check this blog for schedule and event updates. And please feel free to suggest your favorite classic movies for future events.
